About Me
I joined the Modeling and Simulation Chair in 2021 after completing my Master’s thesis on Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for combinatorial optimization. I then worked at the intersection of GNNs and deep reinforcement learning for a year before joining the neuro-explicit drug discovery project.
Since then, I have been working on molecular machine learning tasks, with a focus on 3D-based geometric GNNs applied to kinase-focused drug discovery problems. My research explores how to best leverage the available biological data for training geometric GNNs and investigates which biophysical mechanisms these models are truly capable of capturing—using explainability methods and model-level interpretation techniques.
